I shot this using a remote release and ambient lighting at home. There are windows on all sides of my living room so there is plenty
of natural light (sometimes too much). For focus I used a chair, manually focused on it and marked the place where it stood with some tape. It was trial and error from then on but the chair helped. Yay for curves:
My pjs had left some judgmental marks on my stomach so I had to blend them away by lightening them with the "dodge" tool in photoshop and by changing heir hue with curves. I then adjusted the lighting of the entire image by brightening midtones, and darkening shadows and highlights (flattening the image a bit) with curves. Finally, curves again to increase the blue midtones in the skin.Taken with a 50mm nikkor lens.
